London Skate Centre is a specialist skate shop run by skaters for skaters. We’ve operated in Bayswater, central London, next to Kensington Gardens for the last twenty years and have sold countless skates to beginners, champions, celebrities and the media. [map].
Owner Alex Taylor has a lifetime’s experience working with skates and skaters; firstly as a championship level skater, then as a professional ice skating coach (NSA Gold Medalist) and skating judge. He’s the author of a number of books on skating, including Let’s Go Skating, Know the Game: Ice Skating, & Funskate, the former UK National Learn-To-Skate program. Alex works closely with Luke. Luke is a NISA level 10 skater with a mountain of current skating knowledge and skills to offer along with great blade fitting, (our customers only) and skate sharpening, usually while you wait.
For a professional, accurate fitting, it’s best to visit our Bayswater shop. However, if you know the model and size you need, we can send it to you. We also provide an expert skate sharpening service on our Prosharp machine.
